Royce Da 5’9 Addresses Lil Wayne’s Stance On Racism

In an interview with radio host Ebro, Royce Da 5’9 was asked about Lil Wayne’s controversial stance that racism doesn’t exist. Royce suggested that becoming rich and famous at a young age may have blinded Lil Wayne to the racism around him.

“Being famous early for a Black person is crippling. My brother, you’re going to jail for the second time. The first time you went to prison, you went for a gun that wasn’t even on you. That’s racism, Lil Wayne.”

Royce Da 5’9 Changed His Mind On The Grammys

Now that he’s a Grammy-nominated rapper — earning a nod this year for his album The Allegory — Royce admitted in that same interview he sees the award differently.

“I’m a little bit embarrassed because I’m one of those guys who was like, ‘F*ck the Grammys.’ And I’m totally like, ‘I’m f*cking with the Grammys this year.'”

Royce Takes Shots At Source Founder Dave Mays

Royce wants smoke with the entire team at The Source. After recently feuding with former co-owner Benzino, he’s now directed his aim at the hip-hop publication’s founder.

The on-again, off-again feud between Benzino and Eminem is on again, and Shady Records alumni Royce is getting himself involved in the drama. The hip-hop veteran recently came forward to unleash pure ether on the former reality TV star.

The streets know You dangerous when you desperate so Ain’t no telling what lengths you’re willing to elevate this misunderstanding to so put your shell back on and go do karate with the rest of the ninja turtles.
