After the death of hip-hop choreographer tWitch, Master P honored his memory with his Instagram followers ‘to appreciate their family.’ Romeo responded by saying his dad doesn’t practice what he preaches.
Stephen “tWitch” Boss, a famed hip-hop dancer and choreographer, who was also the DJ for The Ellen DeGeneres Show, was found dead on December 13 after committing suicide. An outpouring of love and condolences from celebrities including Viola Davis, Michelle Obama, and Ellen herself were posted online.
Master P also shared his condolences on Instagram, posting a moment from the Ellen show where Snoop Dogg and tWitch were seen dancing. Shortly after his post gained traction, P’s son, Romeo, commented, saying his dad doesn’t practice the same love he was promoting.
He continued, focusing on how he seemingly didn’t acknowledge the mental health of his kids, including his late sister Tytyana Miller.
“This was my last straw pops, stop trying to play the victim.” The “Romeoland” artist said. “I followed you blindly for 30+ years …You aren’t the man who you paint to be … I seen a man avoid his own children struggle with suicide and depression but post another man whom passed today that he doesn’t even know…I’ve never been paid for anything accomplished as Lil’ Romeo.”
Earlier today, P criticized Romeo’s response in his Instagram stories. He mentions that he’s tried calling Romeo but hasn’t called back.
Rather than continue the back and forth between them, the No Limit Records founder apologized for how his message might have come across and his plans to keep Tytyana’s legacy of love and peace alive.
