Grammy-winning singer Rihanna should be able to get some sleep these days as reports claim a man who tried to break into her home on multiple accounts has received a severe restraining order.
According to reports, RiRi will have the next two years without any worries of repeat trespasser Jonathan Whooper coming within 100 yards of her.
The man accused of stalking Rihanna — and claiming to be her “future husband” — must continue to stay away from her for the next 2 years … TMZ has learned. As we first told you … Jonathan Whooper was arrested earlier this month for multiple trespasses at the home RiRi was renting in Pacific Palisades. A security guard at the home says Whooper claimed he was going to marry the singer. A judge in L.A. just granted Rihanna a permanent restraining order against Whooper. He has to stay 100 yards away from her … the same restriction as the temporary restraining order which was already in place. Next up for Whooper — a mental competency hearing to determine if he’s fit to stand trial for felony attempted burglary, vandalism, and stalking. (TMZ)
Police recently arrested RiRi’s stalker after he tried to bust into her house.
When Rihanna wrote “Rude Boy,” we doubt she was thinking of this guy. E! News has learned that police have arrested Jonathan Whooper after he reportedly scaled the wall at the R&B superstar’s Los Angeles estate Friday morning. Sgt. Gary Levy tells E! News the suspect seemed to have some delusions about knowing the “Diamonds” singer and being friends with her. (E! Online)
Reports also suggested he was believed to be the same person responsible for attempting to break in days prior.
But according to the report, as it turns out, there was another attempted break-in at RiRi’s residence this past Sunday, in which a would-be burglar had tried to throw a chair through a window, but he managed to get away. Authorities are now investigating whether the two men are one and the same. A rep for Rihanna was unavailable for comment, but she wasn’t home as she’s currently in Australia on her Diamonds world tour. (E! Online)
