Riff Raff Tells Us What NY Spots You'll Find Him Before Hitting Highline Ballroom: "I Always Gotta Stop In There"

[With his national Aquaberry Aquarius tour touching down in New York City’s Highline Ballroom Wednesday (January 25) night, Houston rapper Riff Raff tells us what fans can look forward to from his set and what Big Apple spots he’s gotta check out.]

I like going to New York. I like to go shopping. I go to [Manhattan’s] Flight Club and I try to go everywhere.

I try to go somewhere new each time I go to New York. But I just love the show crowds. It’s always diverse and there’s high-energy.

We have this new light show that we have for this new album, Aquaberry Aquarius, so the tour’s been pretty smooth. This whole new light set-up is synched with my music. It just feels better and makes the stage look more comfortable.

There’s a few artists that I have with us on this tour opening up. I think I’m going to be going onto the stage at Highline Ballroom about 10 or 11, but the doors usually open around 7 or 8. I’m not sure with weather permitting what time the doors are going to open Wednesday night but the sooner you can get in there, the better.

I’ve been messing with this brand called Robin’s Jean lately and so I go into any one of their stores. They were a company that used to be in Nordstrom or Saks Fifth but now they have their own stores.

So I’ve been getting a lot of their stuff lately. Of course I have to go to Flight Club. That’s like the shoe mecca. It’s not just Jordans. They always have random Nikes or random Asics that you can’t find anywhere else.

I always gotta stop in there when I go to New York.
