Making sure not to say too much, Ross defended Meek in light of allegations that claim he was involved in the bottle-throwing melee.

Rozay has the utmost confidence in the Philadelphia MC, with whom he collaborated on the label’s recently released Self Made, Vol.2. “I know Meek. I know the situation he’s in, I know where he comes from. I know that’s something that he won’t get involved in,” Ross said. Still, the swift and calculating Bawse is careful not to say too much, especially considering that he wasn’t present during the altercation. “I wasn’t there so I won’t make a comment other than it was unfortunate for everybody that was in there,” he said. “But I know the homey, we seen each other that night, and that wasn’t his mind-set. He wasn’t involved in that.” (Rapfix)

Due to the accusations, Meek reportedly got turned down from entering a New York nightclub this week.

Meek Mill is now unwelcome at some New York nightclubs after being caught up in the June 14 brawl at W.i.P. in SoHo between Chris Brown and Drake that left several clubgoers injured. The Philly-born rapper was partying with Drake’s camp at the hot spot when the fight broke out between entourages that sent liquor bottles flying. Early yesterday, Mill was turned away from Meatpacking District club Tenjune after rolling up at about 2 a.m. And he even eagerly posted word of his arrival at the swanky spot on Twitter. But the bouncers didn’t seem to share his zeal for getting inside. Mill tweeted after he was denied by the doormen: “I don’t got no love for these clubs that discriminate against a certain race! [Bleep] you . . . u won’t get these racks!” (For our slang-impaired readers, “racks” means “money,” in thousands.) After Mill left, observers told us that police showed up at the venue because of an unrelated incident, but left within minutes. A Tenjune rep had no comment on the incident. (New York Post)

Last week, Meek broke his silence on what went down during the club altercation.

“Chris and Drake, them two was there but its other people that be around that take sh*t to the next level,” Meek exclusively told XXL. “Things just happen in the club. I seen girls in there throwing bottles, all types of sh*t. All types of people. I never seen Chris Brown or Drake throw a bottle and I was there.” When XXL asked Meek if he threw a bottle during the melee, the Philadelphia MC offered two words: “F*ck no.” He proceeded to reveal that he and Breezy spoke right after the incident and don’t have a problem with each other. Some reports claim he had a big role in contributing to the fight.

25-year-old Meek Mill, who was seen hanging with Drake before the brawl broke out at club W.I.P. in New York City early Thursday morning, is responsible for Brown’s injury. Although the exact grounds and causes of the altercation remain unknown, pop star Rihanna is believed to be the root reason for tension between Drake and Brown. Both artists have previously dated the leading lady. (Philly)
