According to reports, Ricky Rozay opened his newest location this week.

Rapper Rick Ross was in Memphis this week for the grand opening of his latest area Wingstop location and picked up some more hardware to go with his gold records: the key to the city. Ross has opened 25 Wingstop locations across the Southeast, five in Memphis. His latest location is on Union Ave in Midtown. That location has been operating since June. (Biz Journals)

To make the moment more special, Ross received a key to the city from Memphis’ mayor.

At the grand opening of the Union location this week, Memphis Mayor A C Wharton presented Ross with a symbolic key to the city. “It’s a huge honor for me and my team to have Mayor Wharton give me the key to the city. In every city we open a Wingstop, it is our goal to make a positive impact. We appreciate his support,” Ross added. (Biz Journals)

Outside of running restaurants, Ross has reportedly shed 100 pounds over the past year.

The hip-hop star has been losing weight gradually since last year and has dropped an estimated 100 pounds at least, according to reports. Ross, who has continuously touted Reebok’s CrossFit program when asked about his slimmer figure, and his rep have not confirmed an actual number. Fans started to notice Ross’ weight loss last fall (pictured above, left, Ross performs in Miami on Nov. 23, 2013). He appeared slimmer than ever at Hot 107.9 FM’s Birthday Bash 19 in Atlanta on June 14 (pictured above, right). (E! Online)

A few weeks ago, Ross said he had relied on a personal trainer and a gym routine to lose weight.

“I ain’t really keeping up with the amount of weight,” Ross said when asked how much weight he has lost. “I just wanted to get into better shape, put myself in a better position. I still eat the way I want to eat. I just go to the gym now. I do this sh*t called CrossFit. I call it RossFit. It’s called RossFit now. If y’all see this, hashtag RossFit. … Reebok had introduced me to a trainer and what he turned me onto was, let’s say for instance, if you’re on a treadmill and you did that sh*t for 30 minutes, you burning calories but you could be doing something that’s burning calories and building muscles at the same time.” (“Tim Westwood TV”)
