Despite having a growing brand outside of songmaking, the “Bawse” detailed his dedication to the music.

“Our top, number one conversation, our number one topic of conversation is motherf*ckin’ music. When you come ’round here, if you talkin’ more about anything more than music, you gotta get the f*ck out or we gonna say you talk too much.” (“Mastermind Sessions, Vol. 1”)

Ricky Rozay also dished on his newest collaborative Jay Z effort.

“When me and Jay Z are in the studio, it’s not just the beat on loop. We talkin’ some sh*t. We talkin’ some sh*t n*gga. After you make a record as big as ‘YouKnowItGotIt,’ it has to be on that level up and I feel that’s what this record is. It’s a dope record. ‘Devil Is A Lie.’ K.E. On The Track. You know, it’s another one of them records, you know what I’m saying? 6-0, 7-0 on the joints. It’s for the streets. It’s the flows, it’s the bounce, it’s how current and relevant the music is. I think that’s what’s important when you’re sculpting an entire body of work. Everybody around the world embracing this movement, we love you. MMG for life. Mastermind on the way.” (“Mastermind Sessions, Vol. 1”)

The track officially premiered online last Thursday (December 19).

Bey and Hov are a true power couple — just a few days after Beyonce dropped her new record in the dead of night, Jay Z and Rick Ross are out with a new K.E.-produced single “The Devil Is A Lie,” off Ross’ upcoming LP, Mastermind. After teasing the hell out of the collab on Twitter Thursday (December 19), Rozay dropped the song via SoundCloud this afternoon, along with a tweet teasing Mastermind reading: “Mastermind on the way.” The track is a true tour de force: frenzied, studded with horns and driving drum machines, with both Barneys and Kendrick Lamar’s “Control” verse getting shoutouts. Immediately following its release, producer Major Seven accused fellow hitmaker K.D. On The Track of jacking his beat.

“Rick Ross feat. Jayz Devil is a Lie prod. by Me stolen by @_keonthetrack http://www.worldstarhiphop.com/videos/video.php?v=wshhF6JbhrAt45uKuM5h … this guy is a straight theif!!!!,” Seven tweeted December 19. (Major Seven’s Twitter)
