Maybach Music Group head Rick Ross is making headlines entering the weekend for reportedly bailing on a 2012 scheduled London concert after tallying up nearly $200,000. #FindTheBawse
Details of the Boss’ legal woe surfaced online Friday (May 16) evening.
During the promoter’s attempts to find Ross, a registered address for Rick Ross Touring in Miami turned out to be “a UPS store,” lawyers for Ezechie claim. A process server sent to Ross’ Miami home this week was told by a man inside, “I don’t know,” when asked how to reach him. And at Ross’ gigs, “process servers are hesitant to serve him while he is surrounded by security guards,” papers claim. Ironically, Ross is a former Florida correctional officer. (Page Six)
The concert promotor, who filed the case back in October, wasted no time putting Ross on blast.
“It’s blatant robbery he’s doing, and he’s an artist worth $50 million,” exclaims Ezechie, who alleges he advanced Ross $100,000, plus about the same amount for the other Maybach acts. He added he’s promoted gigs for Usher, Busta Rhymes and Missy Elliott, but that “the Rick Ross Maybach Music tour was the biggest we have carried out.” Ezechie’s lawyer, Robert Hantman, said of Ross, “We are prepared to track him to the ends of the earth.” (Page Six)
Earlier this month, the “Bawse” addressed disses shot his way courtesy of music mogul Suge Knight.
[Update: Rick Ross responds by posting picture with Suge that was taken a week ago.] Despite Knight’s comments, it seems that him and Rozay may be on decent terms, as is suggested by a picture Ross just posted on his Instagram. Rozay says he and Knight hung out a week ago, and included the caption “Ran into Suge Lastweek and he showed Alot of Luv!!!Said “MMG them N*ggaz” #Mastermind.” (Hot New Hip Hop)
In the dicey footage, Suge was shown going off on Ross and even referenced his past days as a correctional officer.
“Rick Ross, you know you owe that bread titty man. I’m gonna beat the dog s**t out of you,” says Suge. “I’m the first n***a had the bald head and the beard from ‘Bompton’.” He continued, “I got a show It Ain’t Smart Being Stupid. I’m going to invite Rick Ross on there – that ain’t his real name, whatever. If he can get me, I’m going to shave my motherf**king beard.
