After announcing his deal on Twitter, additional reporting suggested the Warner Bros. deal would include distribution and marketing.

Rick Ross’ Maybach Music Group has found a place to park. After meeting with various labels, the Miami rapper has signed a deal to bring his roster of talent to Warner Bros. Records. “Its official!!!!!! @maybachmusicgrp has partnered with Warner Bros!!!!!!!!!!!s/o Lyor Cohen..Tod..Joey I.e..dallas..and mybrother GucciPucci,” tweeted the Bawse in the early hours of Saturday. “Deal of the CENTURY!!!!!!!!!!!!! #MMG #WB.” While details have yet to be announced, the deal is expected to include distribution, marketing, and promotion for artists Ross signs to his imprint. From the “Boss'” eyes, he recently said the war was proof of his brand’s success.

“[Signing Wale and Meek Mill], it just solidifies we’re one of the fastest-growing labels in hip-hop…I mean, it is what it is,” Ross said in response to the bidding war for his Maybach Music Group. “Right now we’re on fire. We making, and it’s not just a temporary thing, but we’re making the best music, man. And we make all ranges of music. I think the industry’s just understanding that. So it’s not just about Rick Ross and Maybach Music, it’s our brand, it’s our movement, it’s the type of sound that we done brought to the game — We getting paper, what else can I say?” (The Source)

Earlier this month, Cash Money’s Baby confirmed a possible pending Maybach Music deal.

“We in talks right now,” Baby said in an interview. “If we do or if we don’t that’s still my partner, and one day in life we will, if time means now and if time means later, we will…That’s my friend first of all, that’s my partner [and] that’s my homie. I have a lot of respect for Ross and what he’s trying to do.” (XXL Mag)

Based on the spinning rumor mill a few weeks ago, Baby’s Cash Money powerhouse is not the only contender for Ross’ imprint.

Apparently, all the powermove business talk Rozay teased me with in Miami rings true. Besides the impending signings of Wale (I heard the deal went through yesterday, but now I can’t get anyone to confirm) and Meek Mill to his imprint, he’s being courted by the music industry’s bosses for MMG. Inside sources have told me the players include: Jay-Z’s Roc Nation/Sony; Birdman’s CMB; Lyor Cohen and the good folks at Warner; andDiddy and [Jimmy] Iovine at Interscope. (Rap Radar)

After signing Wale in early February, Ross announced inking Philadelphia-bred emcee Meek Mill a few days later.

“EVERYONE WELCOME @MEEKMILL TO THE EMPIRE!!! #MMG,” Ross tweeted February 8th.

“put 1 in tha air for the team!!! #MMG we plot’n… @drefilms @meekmill @gunplaydonlogan @wale@maga2dazeen @blackbomaybach @spifftvfilms #MMG”

“It’s Offical.. @meekmill signs w/ @maybachmusicgrp Blog1http://vimeo.com/19726835” (Rick Ross’ Twitter)
