Jay Elect remembered the effect Jackson had on the world.

Diddy said he was still in disbelief Jackson had passed away.

Actress Lauren London paid homage to the singer’s memory.

Speaking in an interview, J. Cole gave his thoughts on what Jackson meant to music.

“He literally gave his life to entertainment. He couldn’t live a normal life because of that,” said rising MC J. Cole, referring to the intense fame the star grappled with for most of his life. “That’s how much he loved to do this.” (MTV)

Jackson passed away one year ago from medical complications.

On the afternoon of June 25, 2009, while in the middle of rehearsing for a series of 50 concerts, Jackson collapsed. He was rushed to the UCLA Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at the age of 50. His death was later ruled a homicide, the result of ingesting a lethal amount of prescription drugs.
