Maybach Music Group’s Rick Ross may have an interest in seeing Floyd Mayweather Jr. win tonight (May 2) after sending the undefeated boxer over 200 bottles of champagne.
According to reports, Ricky Rozay sent the pricey hook-up to Floyd’s Nevada home.
Which fighter is already prepping for a big win on Saturday night? That would be Floyd Mayweather Jr., who just received a shipment of more than 200 bottles of Luc Belaire ahead of Saturday’s fight of the century boxing match against Manny Pacquiao. The Belaire was a gift from Mayweather’s pal and Belaire super fan rapper Rick Ross. The approximate value of his gift is just over $10,000. (Vegas Eater)
Along with picking Money Mayweather to win, G-Unit head 50 Cent offered a few tips for Floyd’s rival Manny Pacquiao.
“Floyd don’t know how to lose,” Fif said in an interview. “I’m sure the fight’s gonna start around one [in the morning] – they’re gonna put the pressure on him to come right across the ring at him and then Floyd can fight in the pocket, he just doesn’t force himself into if he doesn’t have to. They’re gonna find that out quick. It could get messy if [Manny] thinks it’s okay to come in there out of control, he might get that [Juan Manuel] Marquez. Don’t expect [Floyd] to run. They think he’s just gonna run from him but we’re gonna establish right away that you shouldn’t think that.” (“First Take”)
According to reports, Fif is performed last night (May 1) in Sin City.
Club sources tell TMZ … the rapper is getting half-a-million bucks Friday night for throwing down rhymes at Drai’s. Fact is, 50 may be hedging his bets. You may recall … he’s put $1.6 mil on the line, betting Floyd Mayweather will put Manny Pacquiao in his place. And we’re told he also made a deal with Effen Vodka to make around $500k for a show 2 weeks later at Pool After Dark in Atlantic City. (TMZ)
Last week, 50 revealed his issues with Mayweather tended to stem from minor arguments and misunderstandings.
“We’ve been good. My younger brother happens to be the best fighter in the world. He can make $200 million in 36 minutes. How do you tell him what to do? You don’t,” 50 said in an interview. “Sometimes he’s not right. You’ll tell him, ‘You’re not right.’ Because everyone else is codependent, he can’t agree with you. Then you have that argument until he starts to look at it and goes, ‘Alright. He was right.’” (MTV)
