Maybach Music Group leader Rick Ross has provided an update on his status with rap mogul Diddy as the Bugatti Boyz collective and appeared to reveal Puff Daddy’s new MMM album title’s meaning.
According to Ricky Rozay, Diddy’s MMM stands for Money Makin’ Mitch.
“The Bugatti Boyz, you know, we was in the studio, we actually spoke about music for that,” Ross said in an interview. “He’s in the studio working on his new project, Money Makin’ Mitch but you know the Bugatti Boyz, we still getting money.” (Trace)
This week, Diddy revealed he changed his rap alias and announced a new solo project’s title meaning.
Sean Combs is a man of many names. He’s been Puff Daddy, Puffy, P. Diddy and just plain ol’ Diddy. But he’s now decided to go back to his ’90s roots and become Sean “Puff Daddy” Combs once again. The name change comes in honor of his first album in four years, MMM, which does not have a release date as of yet. In a teaser clip for his latest single “Big Homie,” which will officially drop next Monday (March 31), Puff Daddy makes his triumphant return with a little help from Rick Ross and French Montana, who recently proclaimed that he’ll be executive producing MMM with a recording studio clip posted on Instagram. Back in February, reports revealed Bad Boy’s French Montana would assist the fellow New York native with a long-awaited mystery LP.
Recently, rumors have been swirling about Diddy working on a new solo album, possibly titled MMM. Bad Boy artist French Montana recently confirmed the news and also revealed he will be executive producing the project. Last night, French took to Instagram and posted a video of Puff diddy bopping in the studio to some new tunes. The caption reads, “Studiovibe executive producing my brother new album @iamdiddy #mmm get ready #getready.” (XXL Mag)
While details were slim, Atlanta producer Mike Will Made It recently revealed his involvement on Puff’s upcoming solo project.
In addition to those two projects, WiLL has also been producing for Mariah Carey, Diddy, Lil Wayne, Juicy J. “We worked on one song for her album,” he said of Mariah Carey. “Diddy – we’re working on a new album right now. I’m a fan of Puff. We actually went shopping for my whole outfit,” he added, referencing his Versace shades and bullet-toned metallic brocade jacket with tux pants. “He picked out everything because I’m not used to dressing up.” (Rolling Stone)
