Maybach Music Group’s Rick Ross cannot stay away from making headlines following a recent jail release thanks to a shooting going down at an Atlanta recording studio.
According to reports, a shooting took place Monday (July 6) outside an ATL studio complex which houses one of Ricky Rozay’s offices.
A late-model Corvette, a Mercedes CL63 that retails for over $150,000 and an Infiniti G35 were damaged by the gunfire, which happened just outside Twelve Music Group and UDigg Studios. The AJC previously reported Ross was opening an office in the Twelve Studios complex, which is in an industrial area off Collier Road. A door outside the complex features a drawing of Ross and two shovels. (Atlanta Journal-Constitution)
According to reports this week, Ricky Rozay posted his $2 million bond last Wednesday (July 1).
Ross’ bond hearing in Fayette County, GA just wrapped up
— and the judge ok’d his release once he paid a $2 million bond … which he scraped together from a few places:
– $1 million equity from the ex-Holyfield mansion he owns, and another GA property
– $500,000 surety bond (from a bail bondsman)
– $500k in cold hard cashRoss’ attorney also promised his client would hand over the entire Holyfield property to the county … if he intimidates or threatens any witnesses. (TMZ)
Various musicians including Meek kept Ross’ name alive amid the arrest on social media earlier this month.
According to reports, the arrest went down recently at the hands of the Metro Atlanta Fugitive Task Force.
Ross’ bodyguard was also arrested. Both men are charged with kidnapping, aggravated assault and aggravated battery. They will be held at the Fayette County Jail as they await an initial appearance and a bond hearing. (WSB-TV)
