Despite serving six years behind bars, Remy credited Fif for trying to help get her sentence reduced.

“When I needed letters for my appeal, saying that if in fact I was released I would have a job and this is how I would stay out of trouble and reintegrate into society, 50 Cent had no problem not once, but twice signing letters saying that, ‘She would definitely have somewhere to work.’ And it wasn’t a delay. I didn’t feel like I had to chase anybody around.” (BET)

In June, G-Unit’s Tony Yayo posted a “Free Remy Ma” photo onto his Instagram page.

“Free Remy @50cent need to sign her first day out @_young6. She got bars for days.,” Yayo captioned June 17. (Tony Yayo’s Instagram)

Back in summer 2012, Remy revealed Fif reached out to her during the jail stint.

“50 wrote me a great letter when I needed my appeal and I needed people to send letters and make sure that I have things set up so I could actually come home early,” Remy added. “He was very cooperative to make sure that they knew everything was set up for me to come home [and] Keyshia Cole, that’s my friend to the end, I’ll never forget everything [she’s done] to help me throughout the day. Those two was phenomenal — and I’ll never forget things they did for me. There’s other people that did things that I’ll never forget but those two — pretty much [are helping me] come home early.” (Hot 97)

Following a recent studio session with producer DJ Khaled, Remy released a New York-themed fresh track earlier in the week.

Remy Ma is back with a vengeance. After guesting on a remix to DJ Khaled’s “They Don’t Love You No More,” the Bronx rapper joins French Montana and Jadakiss on “Megadeath.” Over a crushing beat produced by Swizz Beatz, the Ruler reps her clique and shuts down her haters with witty punchlines. “So actually I practically raised you b*tches / I got a wallet in my pocket with your baby pictures,” she spits.
