According to reports, Rice has sparked the interest of NFL teams as the playoffs creep closer.

Multiple active NFL stars from multiple NFL teams tell TMZ Sports they would ABSOLUTELY welcome Ray Rice on their squads … because as one player put it, “everyone deserves a second chance.” Of course Ray is now eligible to sign with a team … if a team decides to make an offer … and we’re guessing there are several owners currently trying to take the temperatures of their players and fans to see how signing Rice would go over. Check out the details of Rice’s dismissed appeal right here…

According to reports, U.S. District Judge Barbara S. Jones revealed her decision to side with Rice in his appeal request Friday (November 28).

“In this arbitration, the NFL argues that Commissioner Goodell was misled when he disciplined Rice the first time. Because, after careful consideration of all of the evidence, I am not persuaded that Rice lied to, or misled, the NFL at his June interview, I find that the indefinite suspension was an abuse of discretion and must be vacated,” Jones’ decision stated. Immediately following the decision, Rice spoke out in a statement.

“I would like to thank Judge Barbara Jones, the NFL Players Association, my attorneys, agents, advisors, family, friends and fans — but most importantly, my wife Janay. I made an inexcusable mistake and accept full responsibility for my actions.” (Statement)

Speculation on whether Rice would make it to an NFL playing field this season developed after the decision went public.

“If a team wanted to sign him and put him on the field that could happen but we’re not expecting that to occur any time soon,” CNN’s Rachel Nichols said. “If you’re a team that needs a running back, are you going to sign Ray Rice knowing the backlash against him, knowing how people in the public feel about it?” (CNN)

  1. Good for him..i know he happy he paid them union dues. Every one makes mistake..we cant tell women they equal than over punish in the thought that said victim is a woman. Abuse is bad. But any that wants to can get better.

  2. if Michael sam was considered a distraction and can’t stay signed to a team, I think Ray Rice shouldn’t be allowed on a team either… Apparently being gay is a worser crime than beating women.

  3. Who cares. There are more important things going on in the world than this guy and his marriage crisis or whatever. Not saying it’s right but If Chris Brown is still signed to major record label, there is no reason Ray Rice can’t be signed to a football teams roster.

  4. Ray Rice: “…when she spit in my eye I became LegALly bLiND, & as I was reaching out for the 2 button, she ran into my hand…”
