Atlanta rapper 2 Chainz proved he knows how to put on a good time last night (November 10) by bringing out close pal Kanye West at Hollywood star Leonardo DiCaprio's birthday party in New York City.
According to reports, Chainz and Kanye ignited the special night with a few memorable performances.
Last night, Leonardo DiCaprio celebrated his birthday at TAO Downtown in New York City. DiCaprio invited his friend 2 Chainz to perform for his special day, and the ATLien performed several of his hit singles for the crowd. However, midway through his set, 2 Chainz called DiCaprio on stage for a speech. From there, 2 Chainz brought out a special guest: Kanye West. Kanye had flown to New York City from Los Angeles, where just the night before he had been called upon by Tyler, The Creator to be special guest at the Odd Future Carnival. Alongside 2 Chainz, Kanye performed their collaborations, “Mercy” and “Birthday Song.” But Kanye went on to perform other songs from his catalog, including “Good Life” and “Runaway.” (Complex)
Deuce also jumped onto his Twitter page to shout-out the mega Hollywood actor.

Known for loving hip-hop, DiCaprio is responsible for landing rap mogul Jay Z a spot on his Great Gatsby flick’s soundtrack.
Great Gatsby director Baz Luhrmann knew he wanted to include hip-hop in his script adaptation of the 1925 novel by F. Scott Fitzgerald, but it wasn’t until star Leonardo DiCaprio connected him with his friend Jay-Z that the soundtrack for the film really took off. “We wrote hip-hop ideas into the script,” Luhrmann told VF Daily at a screening for the film this weekend. “I was telling [Leonardo] about the hip-hop idea, and of course, when it comes to hip-hop, there is kind of a chairman of the board. He turned around to me and said, ‘I think the chairman’s up at the Mercer if you want to meet him.’ And it was actually a very nice, natural, instant connection.” Luhrmann said he promptly visited Jay-Z at the Mercer, where he was recording. A few nights ago, Kanye West raised eyebrows after appearing at Odd Future‘s second annual music carnival.
Tyler treated the crowd to the original version of “Colossus,” featuring a much jazzier, lighter feel than the one that made “Goblin.” This would have been surprise enough until the beat for Kanye West’s “New Slaves” started up and an inspired West walked out on stage ripping through the hard-hitting lyrics. The crowd exploded in delight and pushed up to get a better look at the Yeezus rapper. (The Hollywood Reporter)
