[With his “For Real” music video still heating up the winter, SOHH First stud DeLon tells SOHH readers what he has on deck in the form of a new project.]
We have another single coming out called “Stronger” which people are going to love. You’re going to be like, “Holy sh*t!”
That’s going to be out around February or March. So we’re going to put in a little bit more effort into the songs. I released it as my first single because I feel like it kind of really explains who is DeLon.
You can tell I’m clearly passionate about what I believe in. I’m smart. I’m having fun and I’m making good music. That’s what I want people to take away from that.
That’s why I released it first because, in a nutshell, it explains what I’m about.
Now don’t get me wrong, I’m cool with partying and having a good time, but there’s certain things that I just don’t do and I leave those things out.
The upcoming EP is called “Awake” and it’s about what’s going on. Let’s wake up and look at what’s going on around us. I talk about being from the East and being from Asia and feeling like I’m not even from Earth at all. I have a song on there called “Gravity” and the hook is like “Gravity has pulled my life out of the stars where I reside/The only way to survive, until you take me back to the other side.”
Then there’s “Middle Earth” with “Where it all started, it never made sense, where it all ended is where it all began/This is the beginning of end/This is my spirit trapped in a body of sin/Reincarnated over and over again.”
