    • I was just about to say the same thing, never heard their classic albums or anthem so to speak they were on. Steady B I heard in punchlines, that is about it. Cool C? Where does he rank among legends? What is his best song? He is not a legend.

      • Glamorous Life is a certified hip hop classic/smash from the 80’s. I wasn’t a huge fan of his work, but he got one hit under his belt for sure.

    • Maybe not then but I do believe they are compared to the standards of Hip Hop today. Before 2000 there was no garbage.

      • Before 2000 there was no garbage? Really nigga, you can’t be serious wack rappers been around since rap started, 80s had their wack rappers so is 90s and 200s.

        • Like I said. Compared to the standards of nowadays. The Rozay’s, Young Thugs, IceJFishes, and all them wack rappers you didn’t had back then.

  1. Cool c, I got a habit, glamorous life, juice crew diss, crushin n bussin with 3xdope, uz a flea with steady b, steady and cool with steady b, get the point with ceb, google is your friend young’ns, and he was a local legend in his city, not global. And billboard is not the standard for what makes mc’s a legend or legendary in hiphop yell

    • And he is still not a legend in rap. He is a local legend as you said and had no billboard hit back then like the more well known rappers had so he is alot less known obviously. It said rap legend in which he is not. He might have been a local legend and had some good songs, but where is his classic album and acclaims other legends had in the 80’s like Rakim, Kane, KRS, NWA and PE etc.? I have heard a few songs of his and yeah he is cool and some good songs but he is not a rap legend by any means. Billboard is not what makes you a legend you are correct but Cool C is not a hip hop legend.

      • So grandmaster caz is not a legend because he and cold crush brothers have had no mainstream hit record for a fucking pop crowd consumption? Do you truly believe biz markie is a one hit wonder because he only had one hit by pop chart standards? Kool g rap is not a legend cause he’s had no pop hits? Craig g is not a legend even tho he played a critical behind the scenes part in the 8 mile movie? The juice crew are not legends? Mc eiht ain’t a legend?
Again fuck whiteys pop charts, they ain’t hip-hop and I don’t bow down to no uppity crackers and they can’t tell me and true hiphop heads who’s a legend in our culture networth yell

        • Once again he is not on the level of the guys you mentioned above, most of them anyways. I don’t think he is a legend. How can you compare him to Eiht? He was with CMW and they made some great albums. Craig G is a legend because of Juice Crew mainly, dude on his own though has a few songs but lacks that classic album and I don’t consider him a legend either to be honest. G Rap was nice as fuck, him and DJ Polo made some classic albums. I agree on the Pop charts and hits and so on, but how good is his body of work? Which album of Cool C is widely considered classic? I like a song or two I heard and I am sure he has some more work but honestly just because he is old school or a local legend with a song or two does not make him a legend in the rap game. LL, Kane, Rakim, G Rap, Slick Rick, PE, NWA and a few others on and on are legends, Cool C is not up there on that level.

  2. NOT A LEGEND…3XDOPE..BAHAMADIA..ROOTS..BEANIE..FREEWAY..FRESH PRINCE..JAZZY JEFF..CASSIDY,,NOT COOL C THO
