The “Chef” recently promised the new album would feature never-before-heard material.

Raekwon revealed that next month he’ll be releasing a “Deluxe Gold Edition” of that album’s 2009 sequel, Only Built 4 Cuban Linx…Pt. II with new bonus materials. “I’m really excited about that,” said Chef. “There’s gonna be some new material and stuff that y’all never heard before. I’m just tryin’ to just secure my fan-base. I’m lettin’ ’em know that Rae is here. I’m not tryin’ to do no five-year hiatus no more. I’m tryin’ to be as relevant as I can right now.” (Hip Hop DX)

Recently, Nas said he was upset about not getting a chance to record a track for Rae’s album.

“It’s been no discussions,” Nas said about appearing on Rae’s new project. “You know how the music game is. Everybody is out there grindin’, making music. But his last album was classic. I definitely wish I was on that piece. So yeah, something in the future is definitely likely. That’ll be good.” (MTV)

The project opened to a strong debut last September.

Wu-Tang Clan’s Raekwon has returned to store shelves with his long-delayed Only Built 4 Cuban Linx Part 2 landing at No. 4. The Chef’s new album has sold a total of 67,900 records after one week on store shelves. (SOHH Sales Wrap)
