According to reports, Brown’s case was delayed Monday after his bodyguard received a conviction.
Chris Brown remains resolute and ready for trial, even after his bodyguard was convicted of assault Monday in a legal setback for the singer, Brown’s lawyer told the Daily News. The Grammy winner was counting on bodyguard Chris Hollosy to testify in his defense in his misdemeanor assault trial set to start Wednesday in Washington, but Hollosy vowed to appeal his conviction Monday and invoke his right to stay mum in the meantime, Brown’s lawyer Mark Geragos told The News. Initial plans were for Brown to have his fate unveiled last week.
Singer Chris Brown’s bodyguard will have to wait until Monday to learn whether he will serve time behind bars for an assault outside a Washington, D.C., hotel. That delays Brown’s trial to 10 a.m. Monday, after the judge finishes the trial of bodyguard Christopher Hollosy. Both Hollosy and Brown are facing an assault charge after a Maryland man says they punched him outside the W Hotel in October. (CSN Washington)
