The series opens with Brianna still lying on her dead husband Jeff before calling 911.
As Brianna deals with his death, his mistress, Alexis continues to call, Queen’s new song debuts on the radio, and she has to tell their kids the news in the morning.
The Queens’ manager Eric visits Naomi to ask if he’s the father of Jojo.
Jill gets unexpected news about her girlfriend Tina visiting town while she is still in bed with the news reporter she cheating with. The band and Eric meet Brianna at her home to help her cope with the loss of her husband.
Eric admits to Valeria that he and Naomi were on and off a lot back in the day. We get more Melodie’s from Brandy portraying Naomi while singing Ain’t No Sunshine for her daughter Jojo.
Valeria visits Alexis, the mistress, and she admits she is in love with Jeff and asks about attending the funeral. Instead of confessing to cheating, Jill asks Tina to move in. Eric and Naomi talk about Jojo and she tells him he’s the father and why she never told him due to him being with Valeria.
In the second half, Jill is trying to help Brianna write the eulogy while admitting that she cheated on Tina. Eric and Jo Jo get stuck in the basement together and he curiously prompts himself to ask if she wants to know who her dad is.
As the funeral begins, Tina asks Jill whose home they’re moving into, Valeria apologizes to Naomi for their past and she wants her to tell Jo Jo who Eric is. 3 weeks from her last confession, Jill confesses to cheating again except on the woman that she cheated on her husband with but to her surprise the priest tells her she’s a hero and an inspiration for coming out to the world. Alexis arrives at the funeral and Brianna whoops her.
As the show wraps the girls laugh about Brianna whooping Alexis but now she’d like to talk to her. Jill confesses to Tina that she cheated and Tina just wants her to figure it out and will wait for her.
We get some more great Melodies from Naturi portraying Jill as she sings for the funeral. As Brianna delivers her speech, we get scenes of Naomi and Eric telling Jojo together who he is as well as Brianna letting Alexis pay her respects to Jeff.
While Jay-Z’s Hard Knock Life plays through the ending, Alexis vomits on Jeff. Brianna asks Alexis if she’s pregnant and we are left with Brianna and her WTF face.
