Migos‘ Quavo is feeling like he’s on top of the music biz right about now. The hip-hop star has reacted to his group’s Culture II album toppling its competition.
This weekend, Quavo hit up Instagram to boast about Culture II pushing out 200,000 copies after just 7 days of availability.
According to reports, Migos’ latest release easily knocked out its competition to land the top spot.
Red-hot Quality Control/Motown/Capitol trio Migos has secured the #1 spot on our Top 50 Chart, moving 200k in Culture II’s first week out. The only other debut in the Top 40 belongs to Anjunabeats’ Above & Beyond, whose Common Ground lands at #5 with 39k. Then there are the Grammy bumps. Naturally, Atlantic’s Bruno Mars, who swept the Big Three categories, sees one of the more noteworthy ascensions, going #14-3, up 169%. Best New Artist nominees, show performers and RCA labelmates Khalid and SZA also move the needle. (HITS Daily Double)
A few days ago, Quavo reacted to NBA superstar LeBron James riding out to the LP.
Last week, rap rookie Cardi B highlighted the new LP and shouted out the group’s dedication to music-making.
