G.O.O.D. Music president Pusha-T has stepped his digital presence up. King Push has launched a new app called heir.
Pusha went to Instagram Thursday (July 12) to urge followers to check out the new app aimed at helping fellow musicians.
According to the heir site, people can vote with emojis on new songs.
You’re a hip hop fan. You know what you like. You have an ear for what other heads will like (or hate). On heir, vote on songs — is it fire … or dead on arrival — with real stakes. Top voters and artists are rewarded handsomely — not just with clout, but with real rewards. We believe that when everyone eats, everyone wins. Real people, real stakes, real rewards. Everyone on heir can earn real money and rewards for their help surfacing the best hip hop tracks. (Heir)
The app also relies on a form of digital currency called “Crown” which ultimately leads to real-life money and music exclusives.
Heir rewards are powered by a digital currency, “Crown.” Win or lose Crown with your votes. Save up your Crown and cash out to real money, or for rewards that money-can’t-buy. Fans, use Crown for early or exclusive access to an artist’s next tour stop or track release. Emerging artists, use Crown to buy the attention of a tastemaker or another artist, get their feedback on a track — and kick off a dialogue if they like it. (Heir)
