The next piece in the puzzle that is Pusha T’s solo career has fallen in place. To go along with his alignment with G.O.O.D. Music, Pusha has also signed on with Def Jam. Of the deal, the prestige of the label and their willingness to work with his vision was the key signing point. “Solidifying my first solo venture, G.O.O.D Music/DefJam is my home. “G.O.O.D. Music is an exciting new chapter in the long and successful association of Kanye West and Island Def Jam,” said Universal Motown Republic Group CEO Barry Weiss. “As a recording artist and a producer over the past eight years, there is no one who has made a greater impression on the game than Kanye. Following the “good” news, Pusha gave his reaction to G.O.O.D. landing on Def Jam.

“I think the whole G.O.O.D. Music-Def Jam thing can only be good,” says Pusha. “A machine like Def Jam, and the artistry that GOOD Music has… it’s a match made in heaven.” (Billboard)

Despite initially planning to drop his G.O.O.D. Music debut on Black Friday, Pusha recently nixed those plans.

“No, no, no, I’m not going to put it out on Black Friday,” Pusha revealed in an interview with radio personality Bootleg Kev. “It’s not finished. The actual album is not finished and I don’t have a title for it yet. Do not. I’ve been making records. I’ve got eight records. I don’t know what’s gonna make the album. We’ve found a groove though. We’ved definitely found a grove. I can honestly say, with Ye executive producing this thing, it’s going to be a masterpiece. Lyrically, know one thing, lyric-driven. 100 percent. Street. Street. For sure.” (Bootleg Kev)
