The Super Bowl is just days away and a week from kick-off, the Pro Bowl: The Madden NFL 21 Edition Presented by Verizon went down in epic fashion. The virtual event with both current and former NFL superstars and celebrities going head-to-head flexing their Madden video game skills was one for the ages.
The official Pro Bowl rosters – featuring everyone from the Tennessee Titans’ Derrick Henry and Buffalo Bills’ Josh Allen to the Green Bay Packers’ Aaron Rodgers – competed in epic video game fashion ultimately helping control the outcome of this year’s face-off.
Streamed live across NFL social channels, top NFL teams’ Twitter accounts and EA Madden NFLTwitch, a record number of fans tuned in on social – meeting the next generation of NFL fans where they are.
Here are some top highlights from the game:
- The NFC team, led by Kyler Murray, Jamal Adams, Marshawn Lynch and Bubba Wallace, crushed their AFC opponents by winning every quarter, claiming the victory, 32–12
- NFC team lead Kyler Murray, kicked off with a strong start and simultaneously coached his team to success, clinching the Pro Bowl MVP title
- AFC players, Deshaun Watson, Snoop Dogg and Derrick Henry, were shocked when Bubba Wallace hustled their teammate Keyshawn Johnson – claiming during the pre-game that his skills were not up to par with Johnson’s, but then scored three touchdowns to dominate the second quarter
- Marshawn Lynch and Snoop Dogg matched up in the final quarter, with Lynch so excited about an interception that he fell to the ground while breaking his gaming chair
- The NFC dominated the virtual gridiron with touchdowns from top players on the official Pro Bowl roster including, Dalvin Cook (twice), Deandre Hopkins, DK Metcalf and TJ Hockenson
Super Bowl LV is slated to go down Sunday, February 7 at 6:30 PM ET on CBS.
