Music icon Prince’s cause of death has finally been revealed months after his shocking passing.
According to reports, an overdose on painkillers ultimately ended the 57-year-old singer’s life.
The singer Prince died of an opioid overdose, a US law enforcement official has told the Associated Press. The official, who is close to the investigation, said this was established by tests after the singer’s death in April at his Minneapolis home. Detectives have already questioned a doctor who saw 57-year-old Prince twice in the weeks before he died. (BBC)
In April, R&B icon Beyoncé remembered Prince on her Instagram page.
Recently, G.O.O.D. Music affiliate Consequence released a Prince tribute song.
Consequence pays tribute to passing of Prince by releasing this Lee Bannon produced gem titled “She’s My Apollonia”. With vocals contributed by Peter Baldwin, this melodic groove is indictive of the sonic influence that Prince’s music has had on a multitude of generations.

Rap mogul Master P recently discussed Prince’s iconic status.
“Prince the man,” Master P said in an interview. “Definitely sad to see him go so soon – I’m just gonna keep it 100. A lot of people called Prince ‘weirdo’ and all that other stuff even though he’s one of the greatest entertainers in the world but it took him to die for everybody to talk about how great he is. I think there’s a lot of genuine stuff but I also think people, once somebody’s gone, everybody – it’s like Michael Jackson. Everybody talks about how great he was. I know Prince is probably up there playing music with Michael Jackson. But a lot of people don’t keep it real and say the truth.” (TMZ)
