Starz officially has a hit on its hands with “Power” season five. The long-awaited premiere didn’t disappoint and pulled through as the top original show on cable this past Sunday.

According to reports, the Courtney Kemp and 50 Cent executive produced show easily brought in over 1.5 million viewers for the return of Ghost, Kanan and Tommy.

Season 5 of “Power” premiered to a smaller audience than Season 4, but it was still the top original show on cable in adults 18-49 Sunday. The Starz series earned a 0.6 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 1.55 million viewers, vs. 0.8 and 1.68 million for the fourth-season premiere. (TV By The Numbers)
