“Power” stars Lela Loren and La La Anthony are stepping forward to share their personal connections to Mexico and Puerto Rico disasters. The duo relied on social media this week to speak up.

Both Lela and La La went to their respective Instagram pages to pour their hearts out.

Pa'lante❤️👊🏼 While my roots may hail from Mexico and thankfully my family in CdMx is safe, Angela Valdes is Boricua through and through. Our Latin diaspora in wide and varied, but our hearts beat with the same passion and spirit. My prayers are with all those from the islands to the mainlands who are suffering and struggling to put back the pieces of their lives. And for those who are moved to help: Locally in the Bronx: The New York Hispanic Clergy organization is hosting a donation drive Sept 30 for both Puerto Rico and Mexico. Details linked in my Bio Other options for giving are: Global Giving Allhands Oxfam (while not as highly rated is effective and getting purified water and medicine into affected areas) * Of course do your research and choose what makes sense for you With love LL
