Pop star Katy Perry is rallying behind Young Money’s Nicki Minaj following a short-lived social media dispute this week with country singer Taylor Swift over this year’s MTV Video Music Awards nominations.

Perry questioned the motivation behind Swift’s comment toward Nicki on Twitter Wednesday (July 22).

Nicki appeared to swing first by suggesting a Video Music Awards snub for songs like “Anaconda” and “Feeling Myself” may have had something to do with the “kind” of artist she is.
