Grammy-winning producer Pharrell Williams has revealed his intent to put out another N.E.R.D. album five years after their last release.
During an iHeartRadio Twitter Q&A, Pharrell confirmed the intent to release a follow-up to 2010’s Nothing.
Earlier this year, N.E.R.D. reunited for a few collaborative songs.
N.E.R.D. hasn’t released a studio album since 2010’s Nothing, but that doesn’t mean they’re gone forever. N.E.R.D. most recently released three tracks earlier this year as part of the soundtrack for The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water. (Entertainment Weekly)
They also collaborated last year for a live performance.
Last November, during his headlining set at Odd Future’s Camp Flog Gnaw Carnival, Pharrell got back together with his band N.E.R.D to do “Rockstar”. Now, in the wake of Mr. Williams’ wildly successful album G I R L, N.E.R.D. have returned with their first new music since 2010’s Nothing. (Pitchfork)
