New York hip-hop pioneer Pete Rock isn’t feeling what Southern rapper Young Dolph is bringing to the rap game. Rock went to social media this week and put him on blast.
Rock singled Dolph out by posting up a clip and scolding Dolph’s lyrical content.

Dolph has since stepped forward to bury Rock’s disses.

No stranger to disputes, Dolph previously clashed with Memphis rapper Yo Gotti.
Dolph previously dished on his stance toward Gotti.
“No, I ain’t got no problems with Gotti. I ain’t got no problems with no rapper. Nobody, period,” he said. “I’m just turning this shit around. I’m just making this shit different. Think about how many rappers done got hot and blew up and became millionaires out of Memphis in the last 10 years. Think about that shit. In the last 10 years, what rappers done came out and blew up and became a millionaire? Yo Gotti and Young Dolph. Triple 6, 8ball and MJG, that was their time. And even in their time, who all was it — nobody but Three Six and 8ball and MJG.” (XXL Mag)

Nah, I think your mom did.
Pete Rock has a point, he probably was appalled at the remedial lyrics, and the child right there next to him dancing. That being said, there are worse lyricists than Dolph out there. Some real weak ass shit being promoted now days.
Fuck Pete rock ain’t nobody reminiscing over you no more
Pete Rock is sooo right…that shit is lame. Pete Rock & CL Smooth are legends and this lame nobody talkin bout ” I don’t know you.” Wow…poor kids these days don’t know what real music is! RIP Heavy D & Troy Dixon
