OVO Sound’s PartyNextDoor has come forward to speak out on his relationship status with R&B singer Kehlani following her suicide attempt earlier this year.

PND admitted her recent break-up from NBA star Kyrie Irving and then their instant hook up still had him feeling awkward.

“I regret how it went down,” he says. “Big time I regret how it went down. I look into people’s eyes, and I know they think I’m a bad guy. There’s a lot of details that people don’t know. I just hope people understand that was a year for him,” he continues, switching briefly into third person. “And I hope everyone has a successful year, and I hope that’s in the past.” (Rolling Stone)

Earlier this month, Kyrie and Kehlani hooked up in Illinois.

It all went down Friday night — the two met up where Kehlani was staying and spent some quality time together. They were smiling, hugging and acting friendly. But the situation in Chicago is not a complete romantic reconciliation — a rep for Kehlani tells TMZ Sports, “They are only friends, not back together.” “Things ended bad and they hadn’t had an opportunity to see each other … and they wanted to meet up face to face and make peace.” (TMZ)

A few weeks ago, Lani posted up a since-deleted Instagram post congratulating her ex’s NBA Finals championship win.

Prior to the post, Kehlani’s Instagram page faded to black following endless Irving trolling.

Well Kyrie fans bombarded Kehlani in the comments section of her Instagram account, posting absurd messages like “L” (code for her taking a loss with Kyrie winning the title), “big head” which is another code for reaching out to one’s ex, and those who preferred the less subtle route and just wrote Kyrie.
