According to reports, Andre 3000 and Big Boi will grace the stage amongst the likes of younger hip-hop generations like Wiz Khalifa and Chance the Rapper.

The pair will be sharing the stage with the Black Keys, the Killers, Jack Johnson, Queens of the Stone Age, Pretty Lights, the Flaming Lips, the Avett Brothers, Modest Mouse and many more. Coming days after announcing that they will be playing their first shows in a decade, including Coachella, Delaware’s Firefly Festival, Governor’s Ball and Georgia’s Counterpoint Festival — Outkast’s Hangout gig is the fifth date in a promised 40-date festival run. Hangout hip-hop fans can also look forward to catching Wiz Khalifa, Le1f, emerging Chicago wordsmith Chance the Rapper, and Childish Gambino, who should recreate his “3005” video on the ferris wheel. The news comes a day after buzz about OutKast putting together a reunion LP heated up the Internet.

OutKast will embark on 40-date festival run later this year, so the rumors of a new album should only intensify. But last night on Howard Stern’s radio show, former Kast manager Queen Latifah dumped a whole gallon of gasoline on those dreams, telling Stern that Big Boi and Andre 3000 are “about to work on a new album.” (Complex)

Three Stacks and Daddy Fat Sax will appear at New York’s annual Governors Ball later this year.

The fest will be issuing hints about the rest of its lineup, which will feature over 80 artists, on its Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts in the coming days. The first of these looks like white noise on a television screen. The second is a picture of Notorious B.I.G. and Tupac Shakur together. Governors Ball will announce its complete lineup, which may explain these pics, next week. Tickets to the fest will also go on sale next week. (Rolling Stone)

Coachella’s official line-up surfaced online last Wednesday (January 8) night and confirmed OutKast’s presence.

The long-anticipated reunion of OutKast was made official on Wednesday as organisers of the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival released this year’s lineup of acts. The Atlanta hip-hop duo consisting of Andre 3000 and Big Boi will hit the Coachella stage at the Empire Polo Fields in Indio, California after a seven-year hiatus. ‘Share it like a polaroid picture! OutKast, Muse, Arcade Fire + more #Coachella,’ organizers of the annual music festival tweeted with a reference to Hey Ya! from OutKast’s 2003 double album. More than 150 acts, from ASAP Ferg to ZZ Ward, were included in the lineups for the music festival that will holds its first weekend of performances from April 11 to 13 and its second weekend from April 18 to 20.
