Former Los Angeles Lakers champion Lamar Odom revealed just how much of a role hip-hop mogul Kanye West played in saving his life following a publicized hospitalization last year.
On last night’s “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” episode, Ye’s wife Kim Kardashian West and sister-in-law Khloé Kardashian claimed Odom credited Yeezus for keeping him alive.
“There was a moment when Lamar couldn’t really express himself and he couldn’t really talk, but he could hear what we were saying to him,” Kim said. “Kanye really felt we can cure him through music, like we can get him to talk. He would go to the hospital and he would rap and sing, and I think Lamar started to get his function back and started to talk once he started to listen to a lot of music.” Kardashian revealed Lamar had told her: “Kanye’s music helped me so much. That’s when I realized I could start thinking again and things were coming back to me and I could start articulating it.” Khloe added, “He’s always like that. He’s like, ‘Kanye saved me.'” (Rolling Stone)
Last month, Odom talked about possibly hooking back up with ex-wife Khloé Kardashian.
“We did talk, you know, everything is [up for] discussion,” Odom said of his ex. “We talk about anything. We’ve been through a lot. It won’t ever stop.” But these days, Odom has more than his personal life on his mind. He told ET that his next step is to “get back on the court.” “I still got it,” he said. (Entertainment Tonight)
A few days prior, Khloé released an emotion-driven note presumably about Odom on Instagram.
Back in February, Odom shocked fans by attending Kanye’s publicized Yeezy Season 3 fashion show in New York City.
