The New York Police Department is still hard at work trying to find out the person responsible for taking hip-hop artist Chinx’s life last year.
According to reports, someone intentionally targeted the New York native in the fatal May 17 shooting.
Lt. Hall of the 107 Precinct detective squad says when Chinx got to Queens Boulevard and Main Street, someone walked right up to the driver’s side and fired multiple shots into the car. Contrary to what many believe, it was not a drive-by but more like an assassination. A dark-colored Altima or Mercedes followed the Porsche and stopped right behind it at the light. (Fox 5)
Back in November, R&B singer Chris Brown remembered Chinx by creating a painting of him.
Bad Boy’s French Montana thanked Breezy for the Chinx present on Instagram.
Chinx’s manager Biggs previously spoke to SOHH about why celebrities loved him so much.
“There’s people who claim the streets and you can say it’s the music, he just rapped about what he saw and what he knew. The funny thing is when you listen to this album, the things he’s rapping about are different. It’s not the drugs, it wasn’t the violence, he had gotten the opportunity to start seeing different things. That’s why he was so relatable and so personable to people. He had so much truth to everything he did and everything he was. I’m not at all surprised, I’m just disappointed.” (SOHH)
Assassination!!! He was setup or targeted.
