New York radio personality Daryl “Taxstone” Campbell is reportedly in law enforcement’s custody after being arrested for his possible role in rapper Troy Ave‘s 2016 near-death shooting.

According to reports, the bust went down Monday (January 16) in Brooklyn.

On Monday, law enforcement sources told NBC 4 New York they had arrested Daryl Campbell aka Taxstone in Brooklyn. Sources said he was wanted on a federal warrant charging him with being a felon in possession of firearm and was also being sought by the NYPD in relation to the Irving Plaza shooting. U.S. Marshals New York and New Jersey Regional Fugitive Task Force and NYPD arrested Campbell Monday morning without incident, sources said. (NBC New York)

Back in July, Troy Ave’s mom helped secure a bail to get him out of jail.

After weeks in custody being held without bail, prosecutors consented to his release on a half million. He’s required to wear an ankle bracelet and cannot leave the city, a request made by Assistant District Attorney Joshua Steinglass and approved by Justice Ronald Zweibel. Collins must also stay away from all concert halls, bars, arenas and other performance venues. (New York Daily News)

Approached by paparazzi a month prior, rap star T.I. said Troy just needed to keep his faith and believe things would work out.

“I don’t want to get into, I’m not going to get into too, I ain’t going to get into no discussion about any details of any criminal case for anybody. That’s what lawyers are for. Me, myself, I got a lot of love for Troy. I just think that he has enormous attention and he has his own relationship with God and all he has to do is keep God first and he can pull through it. Sometimes there’s things that involve situations that go beyond what the eyes could see. So for things like that, you got to step out on faith and for him being able to do that, it’ll make the difference.” (TMZ)

Past reports revealed Troy did not have to worry about facing one initial murder charge.

According to legal docs, obtained by TMZ, a grand jury has indicted Troy on one count of attempted second degree murder and four counts of criminal possession of a weapon. His attorney, Scott Leemon, tells TMZ … “The video does not show everything nor explain what happened in the VIP room before Troy came running out, as a victim, after he was shot.” Leemon says he will ask the judge to release Troy on bail this week at his next hearing.
