Notorious actor/rapper Jamal "Gravy" Woolard reportedly found himself behind bars over the weekend in Georgia on an alleged domestic violence attack in front of his stepson. #BIGProblem
Details of the rapper’s run-in with law enforcement have surfaced online.
Jamal Woolard was arrested Saturday night in Gwinnett County, GA after police responded to a call about a domestic dispute. According to law enforcement sources … a child made the call to cops … and said, “Dad hit Mom.” 38-year-old Woolard — who played Biggie Smalls in the 2009 biopic “Notorious” — was booked for battery, cruelty to children, and simple assault. Gravy made headlines back in January 2009 for a domestic violence case.
Court records show Jamal Woolard was arrested and charged back on September 14 with misdemeanor assault, menacing, and harassment after an alleged altercation with his wife, Trina Younger. Woolard is due to appear in court on the charges January 29. (TMZ)
Past reports claimed Woolard’s mother-in-law disputed the reports.
Paperwork shows Woolard admitted responsibility, allegedly telling cops, “She wouldn’t stop pushing me, so I snuffed her.” The rapper’s mother-in-law, who is staying with the couple during the film’s opening weeks, said she was unaware of any domestic-violence incident. “I know he wouldn’t hit her,” said Roslyn Younger. “He’s not like that. Most definitely, they have a good relationship. That’s impossible. I think it’s made up. He’s a loving husband and I never heard of anything like that before in my life.” (New York Post)
The news came a day after he signed a deal with It Girl Public Relations.
