West Coast rapper Nipsey Hussle recently discussed the buzz surrounding pop singer Justin Bieber since the teen sensation got Kanye West and Raekwon to remix his “Runaway Love” hit.
Hussle also said he would bless the youngster with a guest feature on his upcoming debut album.
Nipsey, who is signed to the same label as the Canadian teen, said he first met Bieber at the Epic offices and was blown away by him. The two quickly became friends and Hussle says he has a spot set aside for JB on his upcoming debut, South Central State of Mind. “Justin Bieber, that’s my n*gga; If we get in the studio we liable to knock something out,” he shared. “People think he’s just like a one-dimensional pop artist, that’s not the case with him. He really a talent. [When I met him] he was beating on his guitar rappin’ Tupac [and] playing the chorus to ‘Thugz Mansion.’ It might look like it would be strange or weird but he’s such a musician, I’m pretty sure we’d find a common ground.” (XXL Mag)
Last week, Kanye West said a Bieber and Raekwon collaboration was a done deal.
“Finishing @JustinBieber Runaway Love remix too… don’t know when they gonna drop it but Raekwon’s verse is crazy!!!,” Ye tweeted. (Kanye West’s Twitter)
After West presented the idea of doing a remix with Rae, Bieber called the possible collaboration “epic”.
“@kanyewest me, u, and the chef 2gether on a song = EPIC. haha. might sound crazy 2 u but even having this convo is living the dream. thanks.” (Justin Bieber’s Twitter)
In addition to rap, Bieber’s new album, My World 2.0, dominated the music sales charts last March.
Pop singer Justin Bieber’s My World 2.0 topped the charts this week landing at No. 1. According to Nielsen Soundscan, the teen star’s new album sold 282,700 albums after a week in stores. (SOHH Sales Wrap)
