Professor David Gross at Loyola Marymount University is teaching a new marketing course to explore and study the late Nipsey Hussle’s business fusion of marketing during the Spring 2023 semester.
Nipsey Hussle’s longtime business partner, who also happens to be a professor at Loyola Marymount University, David Gross, shared he is teaching a class on Nipsey Hussle’s grind starting the spring semester of 2023.
The class, meeting once a week, will explore the methods and strategies that contributed to the “Grinding All My Life” rapper’s success.
Before his death, Nip also taught at the Los Angeles university. He and Gross also worked to launch an economic empowerment initiative, and together the duo worked to rebuild South Los Angeles Black communities and fought against gentrification by using federal tax codes.
This announcement follows Nipsey’s documentary and receiving his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in August, around his birthday.
“He (Hamilton) reached out to me and Nip in 2017 and asked if we’d teach a class at the business school,” Professor Cross also spotlighted Professor Mitch Hamilton for the idea in his post on Instagram. “He gave us carte blanche, with the caveat that we were authentic and didn’t want to water anything down because we were in a university environment.”
Nipsey Hussle Wax Figure
Recently, the late California artist was also honored with his own realistic wax figure. Even after death, Nipsey Hussle remains a figure of inspiration and creativity.
It took about nine months for one man in Ohio to create the first ever life-size wax figure of the late California icon.
