Young Money‘s Nicki Minaj is having the last laugh. The hitmaker’s ex-boyfriend Safaree Samuels has announced he is no longer pursuing any legal action against her.
In a new interview, Safaree said Nicki doesn’t have to worry about him suing her over past uncompensated work he did for her.
“I dropped everything. I had started a process and then I just was like, ‘You know what, it is what it is. If you wanna deal with it like that, go ahead. I ain’t tripping.’ I’m doing a lot and I don’t want to be having to deal with depositions and courts and all of that. Ain’t nobody threaten me. Ain’t nobody make me do it. At the end of the day, I didn’t even want to do it. I just know, if it was me and the shoe was on the other foot, I would have handled it and said, ‘Yo, peace out. Here, do what you gotta do, that’s it.’ I just dropped it.” (Rap-Up)
A few weeks ago, Safaree showed there was no bad blood by playing one of Nicki’s songs.
In mid-August, Samuels revealed his relationship status with Nicki.
“Yeah, we don’t have any relationship. We don’t speak. No lawsuits either. That whole court thing got blown out of proportion because people wanted to react. But if there was a court situation, you guys would’ve saw it. There’s no hiding.” (Billboard)
