New York rapper Nicki Minaj‘s brother isn’t getting a mistrial in his publicized child rape case. New reports claim the legal fight is moving forward despite an alleged request to have the trial shut down.

According to the latest reports, a judge has no intent of giving a mistrial.

The Mineola judge in the child rape case against rap superstar Nicki Minaj’s brother said Tuesday he learned in his chambers there may have been attempts to reach a civil settlement in the case to avoid a trial. But state Supreme Court Justice Robert McDonald denied a motion from the lawyer of Jelani Maraj for a mistrial, after a protest that the defense wasn’t allowed to confront a 10-year-old. (Newsday)

This week, a report emerged about Nicki Minaj not taking the stand in her brother’s case.

Sources close to Nicki tell TMZ … she won’t be involved in any way in Jelani Maraj’s Long Island court case, where he stands accused of raping an 11-year-old girl — his stepdaughter at the time. We’re told Minaj never planned to take the stand, and her bro’s legal team telling news outlets she was on their witness list was simply false. There were reports Nicki would testify the alleged victim’s mom tried to extort her for millions. (TMZ)

According to reports, a 10-year-old testified this week in Maraj’s case.

A 10-year-old boy who walked in on the alleged rape of his sister by the brother of rap star Nicki Minaj knew what he witnessed “wasn’t right” — but was threatened to keep his mouth shut, jurors heard Monday. He detailed what he saw in a basement bedroom in 2015 — as his family members quietly wept in the gallery. (Page Six)

In April 2016, Nicki’s brother received an indictment in the publicized child sexual assault case.

A grand jury has indicted Nicki Minaj’s brother on charges that he repeatedly raped a 12-year-old girl. The grand jury decided that there was enough evidence to charge newlywed Maraj – Nicki Minaj’s oldest brother and her employee – with sexually abusing the tween girl. They’d deliberated for about a month before handing down the decision April 4, according to court records. (Gossip)

  1. He’s done…Karma will kick in and he’ll get the same treatment in jail like he did that girl.
