Young Money‘s Nicki Minaj is making it a hot summer. The hip-hop diva has pulled through on her promise to deliver new music with the release of DJ Khaled‘s Grateful album.
The newly released project features two hit songs from Nicki Minaj called “Nobody” and “I Can’t Even Lie” which possibly features an anti-Remy Ma lyric.
They’re both so fire that it’s impossible for us to pick a favorite, but dammit if we won’t listen to them both on repeat in hopes of doing so. And get this — Nicki seemingly throws shade at Remy Ma on “I Can’t Even Lie,” when she raps, “Keep your man off my Instagram, bitch.” This is likely a reference to an incident where Remy’s husband, Papoose, was caught visiting Nicki’s Instagram when he liked a comment on a photo she posted with her and Drake. So Nicki’s feud with Remy Ma is still very much alive. (Hollywood Life)
Last night, Nicki sparked a ton of attention with some heavy, jaw-dropping Instagram pics and promise to premiere new tunes.
Music producer London On Da Track recently revealed he had new music on deck with Nicki.
“We definitely working. We got a lot of good news on the way. I’m not going to put too much on that either. The answer to that is good news. … [Studio working with Nicki?] It’s very comfortable. She’s very straight-forward. I didn’t see a flaw in her. We kind of just kicked off and vibed to the music. She’s a very genuine woman. It worked out real good, and got a lot coming.” (Billboard)
Recently, Nicki promised to deliver a classic follow-up to 2015’s The Pinkprint album.
“My goal right now is releasing this fourth album and watching my fans react to it because I know it’s going to be my best body of work and I always love to be in that, in real times see my fans reacting to something. So that’s what I’m looking forward to now. Obviously I’m not telling them when my album’s coming out but I just know it’s going to be amazing because I want to thank the people who have rocked with me all these years – that’s next on my bucket list, to deliver my fourth album and make sure that it’s a classic hip-hop album that people will never forget.” (Shade 45)
