“I don’t want to work my whole life without ever experiencing the joys of a family,” the 31-year-old told  L’Uomo Vogue’s October issue. “I would like to take a hiatus and dedicate myself completely to my child.” (E! Online)

Minaj also delved into her determination to be taken seriously as a successful hip-hop artist.

“At first, no one took me seriously,” she admitted to the publication while promoting her upcoming album The Pink Print. “In the world of rap, women are usually relegated to the choir.” She added, “I want to build my empire. In my field, I have always seen men do it—from Diddy to Dr. Dre to Jay Z. Now it’s a woman’s turn.” (E! Online)

This week, Nicki announced her “Anaconda” summer anthem had reached platinum status.

Recently, Nicki announced she would be hosting the upcoming MTV Europe Awards ceremony.

Minaj will host the 2014 MTV Europe Music Awards, the network announced on Tuesday. She will also perform on the show that will be beamed from the Hydro in Glasgow on Nov. 9. Minaj is tied with One Direction, Eminem, Sam Smith and Iggy Azalea with four nominations. She’s in the running for best female, hip-hop, biggest fans and best look. (Los Angeles Times)
