Young Money rapper Nicki Minaj recently discussed the importance of women talking about how much money they make and why it’s all about the Benjamins at the end of the day.

In a new interview, Nicki dishes on why women should no longer feel uncomfortable when it comes to money talk.

“Women are uncomfortable talking about money. I know it’s taboo to discuss it at work. Technically, you shouldn’t, but you need to know what people around you are making. Otherwise, you’re not going to know what you’re worth. You have to ask questions. ‘What is this person getting?’ Do your research. I’ve always been pretty competitive in terms of my pay.” (Cosmopolitan)

Recent reports revealed Nicki would appear in the upcoming “Barbershop 3” movie.

Rapper Nicki Minaj will co-star in New Line/MGM’s “Barbershop 3″ alongside Ice Cube and Cedric the Entertainer, Variety has learned. Minaj will play Draya, the sassy new hairdresser of the beauty shop portion of the barbershop. She made her first screen appearance last year in “The Other Woman,” portraying the assistant to Cameron Diaz’s character. (Variety)

Pictures further confirming Nicki’s role surfaced online earlier this month.

Hollywood actors Ice Cube, Eve and Common are all expected to appear in the new flick.

She’ll be co-starring in Barbershop 3 alongside fellow musicians Ice Cube (the franchise’s backbone), Eve and Common. Though there’s no release date set yet, rehearsals have already begun. (Billboard)

  1. Yea, no. Not only will people not readily disclose that information cause it’s no one else’s business, but how insecure are you to have that be the determination of your worth? That’s the wrong message to have out there, especially for her fans/followers.

    • I think its one of those things were shes meaning more “fair” pay etc. Like are you getting X amount per song while the male artist on a similar level is getting x+5 for it etc. Idk though.
