In one excerpt from her feature, Minaj dishes out some tips for the ladies.

“My advice to women in general: Even if you’re doing a nine-to-five job, treat yourself like a boss. Not arrogant, but be sure of what you want–and don’t allow people to run anything for you without your knowledge. You want everyone to know, Okay, I can’t play games with her. I have to do right by this woman. That’s what it’s all about.” (ELLE)

She also reveals how success in the rap game has sparked a hunger for obtaining more than just material things.

“My goal in the beginning was to buy my mother a house. Now I realize, Okay, if I really focus and become a key player in business, then I can build an empire. I’m thinking of a legacy that I can be proud of and wealth that my grandchildren can use to go to college. So world domination–in terms of providing for my family–is absolutely my goal.” (ELLE)

Cash Money Records CEO Baby recently talked about Nicki’s achievements after just a short run in the rap game.

Nicki’s progression as an artist and a businesswoman is much more interesting to Baby, who gives Minaj his full support. “I saw the whole play, been a part of it so I think it’s amazing. We ain’t never had a female in the business to accomplish what she’s accomplishing, period,” he said. “I never saw a woman in this business, especially in my time of doing this, work as hard as her.” (MTV)

A few weeks ago, Nicki discussed an interest in leaving her mark on Hollywood.

Nicki Minaj has set her sights on the big screen. She told Page Six on Oscar night, “I would love to act, it just has to be the right project, the right movie.” “Nothing stereotypical about a singer,” the rapper and “American Idol” judge said. “I have an agent, and we are looking at a couple of scripts, so we’ll see.” (New York Post)
