The celebrities went to their Instagram pages Saturday (June 4) with heartfelt Ali pictures and footage.

Ali lost his life in Arizona Friday (June 3) following a hospitalization this week.

Ali, 74, had been at a Phoenix hospital since Thursday with what spokesman Bob Gunnell had described as a respiratory issue. The three-time heavyweight champion also had battled Parkinson’s disease since 1984. Laila Ali “truly appreciates the outpouring of love for her family, as she spends quality time with her dad,” a statement issued by her business manager said. (CNN)

Earlier this week, an Ali representative addressed his medical condition following a publicized hospitalization.

A spokesman, Bob Gunnell, told the Louisville Courier-Journal Ali was in fair condition, as speculation swirled about his health. Gunnels said the 74-year-old’s stay in a Phoenix-area hospital was expected to be brief.
