Young Money’s Nicki Minaj has bigger things on her mind than rap rivals. The hip-hop star has downplayed the idea of taking legal action against music nemesis Cardi B.
A screenshot has emerged of Nicki not entertaining a fan’s request for her to go over Cardi’s pockets in court.
Earlier this month, Cardi released a since-deleted Instagram post addressing rumors about dissing Nicki in new music.
“Dear TMZ …ya constantly got me in ya blog spreading fake s–t about me without doing ya research and even when we tell ya is not true ya still push it,” Cardi wrote on Instagram in a post she later deleted. “Ya motherf–kers need to get off my dick and start reporting about them actresses ya used to report about cause I’m not the one to f–k with THANK YOU!! Btw in REAL news my single ‘Money’ drops November 26!!” (E! Online)
A few weeks ago, reports emerged about Cardi possibly having disses aimed at Nicki in new music.
Sources close to Cardi tell us the rapper has already recorded some new stuff, and the lyrics take some serious jabs at Nicki. We’re told her team is divided … some think the Nicki disses should be 86’d. Those people in Cardi’s camp feel the lyrics would actually benefit Nicki by putting the spotlight on her. Cardi’s team believes she’s already eclipsed Nicki, and the best strategy is just ignoring her. (TMZ)
Recent reports claimed Cardi linked up for new music with Minaj’s ex-boyfriend Meek Mill.
Sources tell TMZ Cardi recently stepped into the studio with none other than Meek Mill to lay down some material that’ll be used in a forthcoming song. We’re told they cranked out hooks and verses — all of which is fair game for a final product that’s yet to be released. While we’re told the collab happened a few months ago, the timing is nothing short of less-than-perfect for Nicki … who’s in the middle of a good ol’ fashioned beef with Cardi. (TMZ)
