Young Money‘s Nicki Minaj does more than just slay New York Fashion Week. The hip-hop diva invaded the annual The Meadows Music & Arts Festival in her Queens hometown.
Nicki went to Instagram Saturday (September 16) with posts of herself and longtime pal Future.
Music mogul JAY-Z initially turned things up for the Meadows Music & Arts festival’s first night.
Bedford-Stuyvesant’s own JAY-Z got things rolling on Friday night in a lengthy set during which he got political, dedicating his song “The Story of O.J.,” off his latest album “4:44,” to activist NFL player Colin Kaepernick. (New York Daily News)
Along with Nicki, Future managed to snag high-profile artists like Yo Gotti for his live set.
Future hit the main stage at Meadows Music & Arts Festival on Saturday night (Sept. 16) intending to make his presence felt beyond the norm — and he delivered, bringing out Nicki Minaj and Yo Gotti, as well as Young Thug for an extended cameo, in the middle of an otherwise-turnt set that would have sufficed on its own. The special guests — in particular, the Queens-bred Minaj — were icing on the cake. (Billboard)
