New York rapper Nicki Minaj is reportedly going to play a vital role in her brother Jelani Maraj‘s child rape trial. New reports claim Onika will take the stand and claim the victim’s mother tried to get millions from her.
According to reports, Nicki had pressure thrown at her to cough up $25 million in extortion bucks.
Nicki will be the star witness during Jelani Maraj’s court case in NYC, where he stands accused of raping his then 11-year-old stepdaughter in 2015. During opening arguments Thursday, Maraj’s defense attorney, David Schwartz, told jurors his client’s then-wife, Jacqueline Robinson, forced her children to lie to authorities in an attempt to squeeze $25 million out of Nicki. In April 2016, Nicki’s brother received an indictment in the publicized child sexual assault case.
A grand jury has indicted Nicki Minaj’s brother on charges that he repeatedly raped a 12-year-old girl. The grand jury decided that there was enough evidence to charge newlywed Maraj – Nicki Minaj’s oldest brother and her employee – with sexually abusing the tween girl. They’d deliberated for about a month before handing down the decision April 4, according to court records. (Gossip)

Jelani Maraj, 37, showed up to to the Nassau County courthouse for a preliminary hearing with the judge and lawyers on the case to set a trial schedule, according to officials. Jelani’s charges are due to allegedly raping a child “he had access to” over the course of three months. The charge of felony rape stems from an April 1, 2015 incident, according to court documents obtained by HollywoodLife.com. If he’s found guilty, he faces between nine and 25 years in prison!
