Nicki Minaj Flies Away From Birdman Beef Rumors: “I Love Wayne But I Love Baby Too”

Young Money's Nicki Minaj recently talked about her relationship with Cash Money head Baby and longtime mentor Lil Wayne amid their publicized feud.

Despite the perception, Minaj said she has no issues with Birdman despite remaining loyal toward Weezy F. Baby.

“I don’t think it’ll ever get to that point. People know that I love Wayne and I have loyalty towards him, but I love Baby too. I’m very close to Baby, and I don’t think people know that. I am banking on the fact that they’re gonna work this out like family. They’ve gone through things before just like family does and it is what it is. They gonna get through it. I’m not even gonna think that way.” (BBC Radio 1)

Recently, G-Unit head 50 Cent weighed-in on Lil Wayne’s feud with Cash Money boss Baby.

“I’m surprised to see Wayne going through that because of the relationship between him and Baby. I think it’ll work itself out. I hate when things become public because everyone speculates on things they really don’t know. I just know that they have a father-son relationship and that can easily be something they can communicate between the two of them and resolve instead of having everybody involved in it. Be careful of the things you say about the Wayne and Baby situation because Baby will forgive Wayne for the things he’s saying and Wayne will forgive Baby for the things that he’s saying but they may not forgive you.” (MTV News)

Recently, Wayne revealed his legal war against the music executive had sparked major friction.

Wayne tells Rolling Stone that he and Birdman are no longer on speaking terms. “I have no words,” he says. “I’m super-numb to it, to tell you the truth.” After we talk some more, he admits that the legal wrangling has been weighing on his mind. “I’m human,” he says. “But it’s nothing that a good blunt can’t cure.” (Rolling Stone)

Wayne also confirmed his long-awaited Carter V album was ready to hit store shelves.

Wayne says that Tha Carter V, which he finished recording some time ago, is on ice for now. “It’s super-done,” he says. “Cake baked, icing on top, name on top, candles lit. I would have released it yesterday if I could. But it’s a dead subject right now. It’s a jewel in the safe. It’s that stash-house money.” (Rolling Stone)
